a UNIVERS of cohesion and unity (a monograph)

My final project for my Typography III class at UMBC, this monograph was written and designed solely by me to delve into the continuing legacy of, arguably, the most important sans-serif font ever created. Univers, a font-family created by Adrian Frutiger in 1953 and published by Deberny & Peignot in 1957, reevaluated the essentials of contemporary letterform design and set a new standard for cohesion among the many faces of a type family while simultaneously allowing convenient typesetting across various languages and technology platforms.
